Meet Southington’s Highly Skilled Executive Chef, Liam Kilmurray! Many of you already know him and rave about his mouthwatering cuisine. Now, we’d like to tell you more about the man behind the kitchen.

Liam is a creative culinary expert who recently crafted and introduced our new innovative, flavor-packed menu in Southington. The menu with its signature Taproom Tapas was such a hit that we brought it to our Berlin location. His exceptional skills, paired with a perfectionist mindset and warm, approachable nature, make him a rare combination that is hard to find.

Liam’s journey in the kitchen began as a dishwasher at just 15 years old. Through years of dedication, hard work, and a love for cooking, he worked his way up one step at a time. By 21, Liam deeply understood the restaurant industry and soon after spent four years as a sous chef and three years as an executive chef. Throughout his career, he honed his skills under the mentorship of some of Connecticut’s finest chefs, including Steven Wolf, Xavier Santiago, and Billy Grant.

Before joining Hop Häus, Liam worked as an executive chef with DLS Events, catering for high-profile clients such as Live Nation and Hartford Healthcare while also managing the kitchens at Toyota Oakdale Theater. His passion, precision, and diverse experience make him a standout chef in Connecticut’s culinary scene, and Hop Häus Southington is thrilled to have him on our team.
